The Government of the Federal Republic of Germany is offering a coaching course in Athletics for the period 1 June, 2015 to 31 July, 2016. The programme is being offered by the Academy for Foreign Coaches in Mainz, Germany, and will be conducted in English.
General Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for selection an applicant must:
- be a citizen of Saint Lucia and should be residing in Saint Lucia at the time of the application;
- have a good command of English Language; and
- be no more than 40 years old.
The following documents must be supplied with the application:
- recommendation from applicant’s national Athletic Governing Body;
- medical certificate; and
- four (4) biometric photos.
Value of the Award:
- tuition fees for language and professional training;
- monthly stipend of €400;
- accomodation in single rooms at the Academy for Foreign Coaches;
- health insurance (does not include pre-existing illness and dental prosthesis);
- teaching materials; and
- one-time payment of €300 for clothing appropriate for the German climate. Please note that travel costs to and from Germany must be borne by the applicant.
Interested candidates should submit their applications to the Embassy of Germany in Port of Spain which is the respective German consulate/Embassy for Saint Lucia.
Completed Application Forms should be submitted to the Embassy of Germany in Port of Spain well in advance of the deadline, Wednesday, December 10, 2014, to allow adequate time for processing and submission to the Academy in Germany
