The public is urged to exercise extreme caution during the Carnival festivities.

The Ministry of Infrastructure, Port Services and Transport urges the public to exercise extreme caution on the roads during the Carnival season.

Motorists should continue to observe all traffic laws and to exhibit responsible behavior at all times when operating a motor vehicle. Alcohol use while driving should be avoided, and speed limits should be observed at all times.

For the year 2015, the island has recorded six road fatalities--a small figure when compared with other countries in the region; but the ripple effects of these fatalities are immeasurable.

The ministry wishes the public a safe, enjoyable and incident-free Carnival.
