OVER 100 PARTICIPANTS RECEIVED CERTIFICATES OF COMPLETION UNDER THE NATIONAL ENRICHMENT AND LEARNING PROGRAM.
The National Enrichment and Learning Unit (NELU) continues to empower Saint Lucians with vocational skills through community education programs.
Recently, over 100 participants from the south of the island received certificates of completion for their course of study under the National Enrichment and Learning program.
The graduation ceremony was held under the theme “Conquer All Obstacles - Rise and Shine.”
Deputy Chief Education Officer, Ruffina Charles, applauded the graduates on their achievements.
“Completing this program is one of the steps that you have taken to improve your lives. It means that you can now create your own employment. You are now equipped with the skills you need to move forward. Stay positive, network, and market your product.”
NELU Education Officer, Alfreta Nuptial-Cooper, commended the graduates for their hard work and dedication in an effort to fulfil their dreams.
“Graduands, remember that true success is attained when we utilize our skills and talents in a way that is both personally fulfilling and, more importantly, in a way that has a personal impact on others. I encourage you to define your success and live up to your own measures with passion and commitment as you go out there to fulfil your dream,” she said.
NELU courses include cake making and decorating, garment construction, housekeeping, childcare, flower arranging, plumbing and human relations.
