The 2014 Common Entrance exam results are in!

The top ten national performers scored between 96.0 and 97.33 percent, with ties at 2nd, 3rd and 4th place, while 30 schools scored above the national mean of 60.9 percent.

The 2014 Common Entrance results have been revealed.

According to the Ministry of Education, Human Resource Development and Labor, 30 schools scored above the national mean of 60.9 percent in this year’s Common Entrance Exam.

Examination Officer Dawson Ragunanan said that of the 30 schools, 25 were public schools and five were private.

The list of public schools that scored above the  national average were Forrestiere Methodist Combined, Camille Henry Memorial, Dame Pearlette Louisy Primary, Vigie Primary, Reunion Primary, Ti-Rocher Castries Combined, Roblot Combined, Carmen Rene Memorial, Fond Assau Combined, Boguis Combined, Plain View Combined, Les Etang Combined, Mon Repos Combined, Ave Maria Girls Primary, St. Aloysius RC Boys, Fond St Jacques Primary, Mongouge Combined, Bexon Primary, Anse La Raye Primary, Mon Du Don Combined, Riviere Doree Anglican, Canon Laurie Anglican Primary, Saltibus Combined, Pierrot Combined, and the Micoud Primary School.

The private schools were Tapion Private, the Montessori Centre, Bonne Terre Preparatory, Eucharist Lewis SDA Primary, and Emmanuel SDA Combined.

Gabrielle Flavien from the Dame Pearlette Louisy Primary topped the exam with an average of 97.33 percent.

In a tie for second place were Timeeka N. James of the Dame Pearlette Louisy Primary, Gemmia K. Jn.Pierre of Les Etang Combined, and Prasams A. Surapaneni of Plain View Combined with a score of 97.0 percent.

In a tie for third place were Kereser N. Augustin and Abigail E. Jeremie of the Ave Maria Girls Primary, Rahymm S. Charlery of the St. Aloysius RC Boys Primary, Maya Jeana Hilare of the Montessori Centre, and Mya N. Symister of Ciceron Combined with 96.33 percent.

And in a tie for fourth, with a grade of 96.0 percent were Erich Caesar of Carmen Rene Memorial, and Chrysan N. Florius of the Dame Pearlette Louisy Primary.

The Ministry would like to inform the parents and guardians of children who have not been assigned to visit the NIC building, 5th Floor, on July 10, 2014 at 10 a.m.
