The Department of Tourism, Information and Broadcasting will facilitate the final module in its Business Training Program for small properties on the island. The workshop will focus on the following areas: Forms of Business, Technical Support for Small Properties, Monitoring Impacts of Incentives and Industry Performance, Business Ethics, and the Importance of Disaster Preparedness. The agenda for the day also includes an open forum titled “Strategic Opportunities for the Sector” aimed at identifying areas which small properties can capitalize on to leverage their importance and relevance in the accommodation sector. This session will be facilitated by Hon. Dominic Fedee, Minister for Tourism, Information and Broadcasting; Agnes Francis, Chairperson of the SLTB; Noorani Azeez, Executive Vice President of the SLHTA; and Perle Alcindor, Technical Officer, Department of Tourism. The training session will be held on Oct. 13 at the Palm Haven Conference Room, Rodney Bay, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
